The Bengal Lancers and friends

Eager to learn locals

Last year plans were afoot for an amateur Glasgow football team (Bengal Lancers) to take on a ‘friendship tour’ of Moshi in Tanzania. Frank, one of the team’s key players is originally from there, and the rest of his team were keen to do what they could to help their comrade’s homeland.
The trip of course was a success. Everyone returning with a great sense of achievement, maybe not at the football played, but the fantastic work done while in Tanzania.
Christine one of Trespass’ Graphic Designers would be accompanying the team and did a great job organising pre-trip events and raising funds for the team to get out there.
Once there not only did they play against enthusiastic locals, they got there hands dirty, helping on odd jobs, giving out toys to the kids and generally helping where they could. You can view a few more pictures here.
